It felt like a scam. We were informed of potential delay due to Red Sea situation, but was given the expectation that if we book earlier they will boom for the earliest slot using spot rates. The items were packed on 16 May, they only checked 31 May because I asked when do we pay for insurance and the document is somehow not accessible. Packing team is also slow and did not optimise empty spaces if furniture that causes increase in volume. Strike 1 of having to pay additional cost. Fast forward till 21 June, items are still not shipped. We have fully paid including additional volume and yet they STILL HAVE NOT SECURED A CONTAINER SLOT. And guess what? in order to get a container slot on 15 July, we have to pay more. Strike 2. I am totally scammed at this point. I should have gone to Allied.

Its been one month and so far I dont even have details of the vessel or a shipping date from Singapore. We didnt have much to ship and it is based on a Groupage rate which means they need to consolidate cargo from different customers into one container before they ship. Having worked in shipping I find it hard to believe it would have taken this long. The service has been fine but I will be happier when my personal effects are on the water and ultimately delivered.

Classic Moving & Storage Pte Ltd Classic moving were to deliver my shipment around the 9Th August. When it had not arrived by the 10th or 11th I called them. After checking to find out where on route it might be they came back to say ... Its still in our depot. We forgot to pack it on a ship! It arrived finally on 6th September. James Sanderson has he tells me been in discussion with his boss to arranhe compensation. As of yet they have come back an answer, in fact my last email has not been answered. Disgraceful it has to be said and I will strongly recommend anyone when asks for them to go anywhere else other than Classic Moving. 1/2 star is too good for them and customer relations is shambolic!

Classic Moving & Storage Pte Ltd The move started awkwardly as the Team were very late arriving. However, when the packing started, they were competent, quick and did a good job. The move took place on 28th May, but as of today, 29 June, we still do not have any shipping details. This is a concern, but I'm sure they will tell us with whom they are working here in Germany in due course. Overall I would not hesitate to recommend CLassic Moving to others as they were clear winners on price and came up with the best alternative to keep costs as low as possible. To put that in perspective, quotes from the others were often twice as expensive.

Classic Moving & Storage Pte Ltd Overall we were very happy with the moving company. It was reasonably priced and the staff were pleasant to work with and did their job quickly and effiently. It was not until we began unpacking on arrival at the other end of its journey that we discovered that some of the items/ornaments that were not fragile had loads of packaging around them and some items that were very fragile had very little packing around them which resulted in the breakage of some of these items. Although we were told that we would have a list of what he contents of each box would be, the labels on the boxes were very vague which made it very difficult to inform New Zealand customs which box the wood/caneware/shells etc were .
