Solar Relocation Services in Mexico and their business partner Canadian International Relocation Services in Vancouver (Cirelo) are the absolute worst companies I’ve ever had to deal with. It appears that Solar Relocation has closed their doors as no emails or phone calls are being answered. I have 2 separate emails from 2 different directors acknowledging that they have received full payment from me but they will not talk to me in person or via email. If anyone has the opportunity to hire a shipping company for any reason DO NOT choose Solar Relocation Services, Mexico City. I have no idea how I am ever going to get my personal belongings.

Is difficult to move to another country and have the location destination figured out before you ship your menage but they deal with it all the time because they made it all easy for me, after I found a place to rent in Philadelphia they took a bit longer to make it to my address, about a month to get through customs and shipment from the border with Mexico to Philly, Having previous experience in the past with international moving I knew to expect about a 3 month for the things to be solved and delivered. In the middle of a pandemic with a restrictive border, they improved my expectations and made the process easier for me.

The first contact with Solar has been very good, good attention, price was attractive, documentation process for customs was clearly dominated for both sides (Mexico and France). Only point I was not convinced was their volume estimation. They over estimate the volume of goods (60m3 for them 45m3 for me). Packing process was estimated to four days. We pay as expected 60% of moving price before moving starts. On first day the team leader told me three days will be enough and that goods volume was below 60m3. On second day team leader asks me to talk with headquarter to get container on site on third day instead of fourth. Answer was not as expected, We were not going to get container nor the third day nor fourth. A truck were going to come on fourth day as transporter was unable to come with container. Them on a later date container will be loaded from Solar warehouse. That was a big surprise. I accepted this with condition to get a picture of loaded container before departure to validate goods volume and final price. I never get the picture and end of story will explain why... Once truck left our house we didn't heard anymore of solar during a month and an half. Then I got contacted by a french company telling me they were in charge of our moving in France. They told me that I got to pay them directly and that I got two days to pay as container will be delivered on third day. On same day I receive a mail from Solar asking me to pay the missing 40%, a part with them and the rest to french company. I did it. Then the container arrives. And five guys from two different moving company too. I can mention that both moving companies were different from the company I've been in contact in France. Here starts the fun part. They didn't have tools to break the container seal. I got to go with my father and take his tools to break the seal. At that point two guys already left saying three people will be enough to unload the container. First surprise, container was not full. A quick estimate told us there was less than 48m3 of goods (I was closer than Solar and I pay 1000 USD more than contract price for 50m3). Second surprise the french moving company asks me to sign a document saying they have 4 hours to unload the container (and we lost more than one with the seal story). Finally the unload the container, unpack maybe 70% of furniture and didn't open a single packing box when it was supposed to be a door to door service. Damages have been partially identified on that day, we finished unpacking several weeks later so it was impossible to complain about damage. To conclude the packing team in Mexico was good but contracted service by solar on arrival was not as expected/contracted. A bad experience. It was my fourth international moving and by far the worst.
