Careful with subcontracted moves and no QA
Totally underestimated the shipment, if I had not thrown out many things and sold some of the larger items we would have had a lot more on the curb site. Doing the estimate based on the packing list without coming by was the Problem. Also, while they got a parking permit for Vienna no one was there to put up the permit so when the movers arrived they couldn’t park and luckily were allowed to park in front of a shop which was a bit further away. The move was totally subcontracted and no QA by Movinga once they landed the contract. A few things broke due to unprofessional packing by the subcontractor.

After Movinga responded to my initial request for a quote, they never responded to multiple follow up emails and phone calls, leaving me stranded under a tight deadline to move out of Germany. Had to find another mover at the last minute.

Horrible experience. Their agent was evasive and did not answer our questions promptly (in some cases taking almost a week to get back to us), then just two weeks before our planned moving date we received an email saying "sorry, we have had to cancel your move as we no longer operate in this market," whatever that means. STAY AWAY, THESE GUYS ARE EXTREMELY DODGY

very disappointed with this company. staff spoke very little English and took no care with out stuff. we had to remind them several times not to scratch the walls and not to break things. they were supposed to help with packing but instead they just rushed us to pack faster. they arrived half a day later than expected. I called customer services several times but got no answer when they would really arrive or where they were. Customer Services promised to call us back but they never did. avoid them.

The initial response from the sales team was great. However, after that it went downhill all the way. They used subcontractors at both ends and that was a problem because the information given to us by Movinga staff was inaccurate. They gave us the wrong date for the collection. Despite supplying all the documents requested, we were asked to provide these again. They assured that we needn't attend in person at the arrival port and had us send them a POA. Then, at the very last minute before we left the UK for Morocco, they informed us that we'd have to be present after all, a 5+ hour drive against doctors orders for me. Their agents in Morocco were awful and they didn't pay them in time, so we had to wait over 2 weeks for our stuff to arrive from the post. Absolutely awful - although we were told that the staff member who dealt with us no longer works for the company.

Our move from the UK to the Netherlands went well. We appreciated the one to one communication with movinga staff and that they were accommodating. We had to change our moving date because we booked (a paid for) a share load, but the move ended up being a direct transfer. We had booked flights for four days after the original pick up date because we thought the transfer was going to take around two weeks. When they said we needed to be in the NL the day after the pick up date, that caused a bit of anxiety but then we realised it was a good thing. We were able to change the pick up date for the day right before our flights. We had a van and two movers dedicated to ourselves, and no loading/unloading in between. They did the pick up on Sunday afternoon and Monday evening they were waiting for us at the new place in the NL. One thing that required multiple calls and emails to Movinga was getting the payment finalised... Now, you can see that as a good or a bad thing.

Everything started out really well with Movinga - up until a week before the actual move. They requested a later date to move - which we accepted. We sent all the relevant documents & requested that they confirm that everything is in order - no response. We requested information on how to pay multiple times - no response. The moving date that Movinga confirmed arrived (still no response from them regarding deposit/payment & documentation a week before the scheduled date) - & NOTHING! No one arrived. We tried contacting them to no avail. Numerous emails from our side were sent with no response at all. The original date was 20 June. We agreed to move it to 21 June. 22 June has arrived with no moving team in sight & no correspondence, information or contact made by Movinga at all. Not worth the effort.

I was nervous at first because I dealt with multiple representatives of Movinga, which would change without warning, but when I confronted them about this they said this was normal, they were all dealing with different stages of the move. At one point I had sent all my documents, a new rep took over my case, and then he asked for all the documents again. Weird. Also, they use 3rd party movers and air companies, and my friend at the other end of the move told me they weren't really careful loading my boxes. And after my boxes were picked up, I got an email from my rep saying the air company urgently needed another document, and it was a document signing off on restrictions, which was crazy because it didn't correspond to the US customs list, and I had already had some restricted items packed! I was really upset, but my rep assured me that it would be fine. And indeed, I got all of my stuff intact, and the price was really good compared to all my other quotes. Overall, I'm very happy.

I felt nervous at first about the removal company, as there was a lot of details I did't know such as what time they would arrive and the insurance I would receive etc. I had to chase the company several times, and the phone lines didn't work which didn't help the situation. However, once I was assigned a new agent- Tyrone, who was very good, I then found out what I needed to and the removal team allocated to me were brilliant. The process isn't over for me yet as the delivery is still yet to happen, but fingers crossed it will go ok!

Movinga helped make all Customs paperwork easy and responded to all my queries quickly. The team who collected my belongings were thorough when they wrapped and protected the furniture and took measures to reassure me my items would be taken care off - I have faith in them as a result.
