For a supposed reputable firm, using Asia Tigers, was somewhat disappointing. We moved our stuff from Singapore to Indonesia, I had provided all my documentation and very conveniently, on the day the vessel departed, (2 hours later) they emailed me, “Oh yeah, by the way, your goods are now subject to VAT, (a joke by itself, I know) and of course not in control of Asia Tigers, were it not for the fact that this policy had been in place for more than a month, and a letter from the office was attached to the email, if they would have informed us we would have made alternative arrangements. Moreover, ALL our boxes were opened, what an invasion of ones privacy. At least give the option to witness that process. The state in which the boxes arrived was abdominal. The movers were either analphabetic or just extremely inconsiderate, Boxes with fragile stickers were more often than not, upside down…. When calling them out on it, “Oh ya, sorry” was the response. What a shambles. As you can imagine the damage to my stuff was a rather exhaustive list! But clearly dropped boxes because my glass was all intact, (95%) yet plates were broken for more than 50%.... The back office however was good, friendly, and responsive, to enquiries, so that part they are very professional.

I have used Asian Tigers for moves for myself and family with no problems more than 2 times over last 15 years. This was with no problems with service but note that costs are high end. However on my most recent relocation out of Singapore the services and costs were not professionally managed and coordinated. They constantly added costs and did not serve their customers. I do not recommend their services any longer.

We had pick up scheduled in Alaska to Myanmar June 9. EXTREMELY expensive, but I get it with the two points. Supposed to arrive Aug 5. Then Aug 25. Now Sep 18. It'a not here yat and we don't even know if it will come or if our stuff is OK or not. Cannot recommend. Might just be bad luck, but they should initiate some kind of discount for this inordinately long wait. Unacceptable Should have sold everything and started over with the proceeds.

Very poor communication Move Malaysia to South Africa, door to door. All was good until the packing was complete. I could not get a receipt for the payment, chased twice. Could not get a duty on arrival estimate, despite being promised from the outset. Had to chase three times to get a sailing date. When I got one, I had to chase a week after departure date to be told it did not go and a new date given. Was advised of a delay. Had to chase again to check it had gone. I have been given the contact of the clearing agent in South Africa for me to contact. This is NOT door to door. Poor service, took the money and then that was it. Would not recommend.

Satisfied Back in June I had to relocate my personal belongings (no furniture) from China to Italy. Had chosen Asian Tigers. All went well, price was reasonable (less than others proposals) timing in transit was acceptable (container arrived directly in Italy without going to other countries) no additional cost after all. The only limit I faced was a supervisor who was not speaking English (even though he did a great job and collected all I asked, the communication was not easy, i would say very stressful for me) For the rest - well done. Recommended.

Personal move Thailand to UK Everything regarding the Thailand part of the move went well. The office team were always helpful and friendly - a pleasure to work with. The packing crew arrived late, apparently due to bad traffic in Bangkok. The packing went well anyway. At delivery in UK, the container truck arrived ahead of time, but the unloading crew arrived more than an hour late as they went to my home address, not the designated delivery address - unsure where the error occurred. I had to make several phone calls to find out why they hadn’t showed up. The unloading went well otherwise.

Efficient Made the move go very smoothly

Move from Seoul to Andorra We first moved with Asia Tigers three years ago. Absolutely cannot recommend a company more highly. They were amazing. From the way packed our things with such care to the way they kept with us despite last minute changes in address and even country. Really a quality experience.

One room apartment to Taipei So far so good, too soon to rate till I get the delivery

Twice as long compared to the offer I ordered the service from "Christian's moving and relocation service" run by Christian Fasching, this company is not on the list. The Asian Tigers took it over in China. Everything was well done, but the delivery took four months while the offer specified 8 to 10 weeks. A few ceramic items got broken, literally three. The communication, pick up in Vienna and delivery here were perfect. The procedure at the custom was also relatively easy besides the Asian Tigers first sent me to the wrong custom office and I had to rush to the right one. However, everything worked well at the custom. So, in total, I am satisfied.

Asian Tigers Mobility Asian Tigers: I only got contacted by Tokyo Express. They were great, but their first offer was not their best offer. I didn't like that, and therefore I went with Asian tigers, which contacted me outside the system. I never got a quote from Tokyo Moving Corporation. I was expecting quite a few more offers to compare.
