We scheduled the move from St. Louis to England. The end of May they picked up our goods and we were told approximately eight weeks before things would arrive in England. We were finally told in September that are goods will be arriving on the 6th of September, and that was after me sending several emails inquiring if they had any information. I finally reached out to the company in UK that would be handling our goods and asked if they had any information and they updated me that our Goods would Now will be arriving on October 22nd. I sent the same email to Schumaker asking them for information and they never responded. They had a really good customer service to get my business but poor customer service once we paid and they picked up our goods. They seem to have a philosophy of washing their hands of everything once the goods have been packed.

Pretty decent We shipped our 3 bedroom house stuff from Redwood City to London and it arrived in 8 weeks - Schumacher had said 7-8 weeks so pretty good on that. On pricing I would put them medium - we got about 3 quotes that were around 2000 USD more and 4 quotes about 2000 USD less. The lower price were all really terribly rated and Schumacher was rated poorly but there were several actual reviews that were decent so we decided to go with them and not the priciest ones. Couple of items have arrived broken but insurance claim has bene filed and I'm assuming it'll go through w/o much hassle. Planning for the move was fine too - really just initial communication wasn't very smooth but got sorted out once we got into a contract.

Poor communication and did not refund my security deposit DO NOT WORK with Schumacher Cargo Logistics.- They still owe me my 250 USD deposit and don't seem to plan to pay me back 3-4 months later. I did a small shipment of carton boxes (1 bedroom) from New York City to Switzerland, Initially the communication was good with my contact person Christopher, but as soon as I paid for the shipment, they stopped answering my emails. I was not able to update important changes in the delivery address or on the insurance that they made mistakes on (I paid for it, but they didn't seem to acknowledge that in the online portal). It was only when the cartons were taken over by their correspondent in Europe (ITO) that things got better again (ITO did a fine job, and my cartons were delivered safely eventually). Most important: Schumacher still owes me a 250 USD deposit that they are refusing to pay, I have been waiting for 3-4 months, they just ignore my emails (I send them regularly), or answer me from time to time saying its "processing". I really don't recommend working with Schumacher due to the poor communication and the risk of them not refunding your security deposit.

They never evaluated volume & did consumer fraud. By They never evaluated my load volume over 17 days, didn't answer my emails or the phone. They locked me out of my storage unit, and stuck my storage unit door. When I asked to have my belongings back they told me to pay a ransom amount with no explanation or justification. I found at least 3 broken items and some coat pockets empty . They committed consumer fraud and their people bullied me. The packaging was good.

Endless Even taking into account the exceptional times with the pandemic, I have to say that it took forever to get my stuff delivered. It was collected at the end of May and I just got it yesterday, beginning of September, 3 months!!! This is not acceptable at all considering the amount of money I paid for the move. Also, the associated moving company in Europe (AGS) was awful. The communication with them was really bad, it took them 2 weeks to let me know my stuff had arrived in Europe. They could never tell me when my stuff was going to arrive and I even had to pay them extra money for handling and storage, something I was never told from Schumacher Cargo. Overall, it's been endless and super expensive. The only good thing is they took good care of my stuff and everything arrived intact.

The worst experience ever The company offered me my move in a period of time between 4 to 6 weeks and lasted 16 weeks. I also got a broken trunk.

Schumacher Cargo Logistics Inc The representative we worked with was incredibly rude and always made us feel like a burden when asking questions. Our belongings were delayed and then took over a week in customs. Once we received our things many of our belongings were only partially wrapped so there were a lot of things broken. The movers also only dismantle parts of things and left some still together. Not a good experience, wouldn’t recommend.

Schumacher Cargo Logistics Inc Their operations were supposed to contact us 48 hours prior to the moving date, and didn’t receive a single call or email on the date of the shipment. We had to call them back to make sure they’d show up. We received a quote for 100 cubic feet and received an invoice for 250 cubic feet. This was after repeatedly stating that we could not afford to exceed 150 cft. We’ve insured the whole shipment for 3700, and their initial invoice was for $3,014.85. Once we reached back for a clarification, they still charged us for 180 cft higher than our budget cap. They gave us five days to process the payment otherwise to face a late fee. We proceed the payment and asked for a receipt multiple time via emails and calls. And we are still waiting for a receipt. We don’t know when our goods will get here. Super disappointed about the whole experience, and hope this wouldn’t get any worse. Otherwise, we are left with no choice but to contact MA consumer protection and DOT. And we
