Hassle free and super friendly + great value! I was rather worried about moving during coronavirus but thanks to Matthew James it was all straight forward and hassle free. I requested several quotes from a number of different companies and MJ was by far the best value (price overall, insured value, carrying of goods and wrapping of one furniture item). I was in contact with Sally (I think) through out the planning process (including quote adjustment for extra items) and she was incredibly helpful and nice. I spoke to her on the phone and over emails several times and she patiently answered all my questions. Payment was also really easy (half up front when confirming, rest due shortly before I think). I was informed of a 2h time slot when movers would come a day in advance and two strong young people arrived to get it all in their van. They had stickers with my name and numbers, all very organized. I didn’t have to lift a finger - they took care of everything. I was told of the arrival day in advance again and on the day the driver rang me to confirm. The boxes safely arrived 1.5 weeks later with only one or two outsides slightly damaged (no content damaged whatsoever) but that’s ok given that I didn’t spend a fortune on them. The driver and I carried everything up to my second floor apartment, incredibly uncomplicated. He was very nice and professional. I would not hesitate to move again with MJ, they have been very friendly, helpful and professional. One of the things I valued most was that I didn’t have to deal with a number of random colleagues every time but that staff was dedicated to me and remembered me when I called. Very hassle free for a great price. Thank you.

Terrible Experience Terrible experience using this company for moving from London to Switzerland, even though we opted for the most expensive package. Unprofessional and spotty communication even in the beginning but after the delivery was complete and we still had questions they simply decided to ghost us and we haven't received _any_ communication from them for over a month! Zero client care. We still need help with the customs clearence which a spectacularly inept partner of theirs (FILIDS Sarl) arranged and Matthew James refuses to communicate at all! The movers decided to randomly leave some of our belongings in the apartment for which we now have to arrange additional postage. For 4,500 GBP it certainly feels like an absolute rip off. Do yourself a favor and stay as far away from this company as you can!

The removal went really really well, everything went smoothl Very friendly, professional, calm, reliable service, experienced drivers, careful and considerate handling of items, stress free removal for a reasonable price. Highly recommend.

Delivering a new kitchen to France New kitchen was delivered to MJR, booked as a part load. They withdrew their offer of insurance. Because they’re not accredited it was impossible to obtain independent insurance with sensible excess. Comms were great until they received the goods but then broke down and I had no idea when the goods were due until the delivery crew stepped in- they were super. 3 calls and a text over 36 hours were very reassuring and they were bang on the time they gave, as well as courteous, helpful and very careful. The outcome was good but their insurance and comms issues dampened what was otherwise a good experience.

Disaster Asked them to do a collection and storage of 2 x 9 feet sofas, chair, tables etc asked for the feet info to understand what to buy new feet, screw or push, 3 months, no reply, then items delivered to my house in France, everything stacked in my kitchen and they left. It is in your house not our problem I was told. What a disaster, I will take legal action against them

Berlin to Warwickshire All items arrived in excellent order. No damage whatsoever. Good communication s with office and drivers of vehicles efficient and most helpful. All worked hard. This was a part load removal service which seemed expensive but proved to be the best arrangement.

Matthew James Removals Ltd. appalling! they had good reviews and started off well with lots of contact. then the packing boxes did not arrive and they did not inform me AND I HAD TO RING TO FIND OUT WHAT HAD HAPPENED. so the packers came on Saturday July 22nd and did an excellent and professional job. i was told the gods would be delivered in a week - no contact and they did not arrive, so I contacted them to be told the van had broken down in France and they would let me know but it would take until Tuesday but they would be expected Thursday - since then nothing! I have contacted them 3 times and am waiting, waiting......... it is now Thursday and still no contact - this service was not cheap i expected better. i DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM, really wish I had used someone else now.

Recieved a quote for part load removalto spain, i then rang them to check if the load could be delivered between 27 december and 9 january 2016 they said it wouldnt be a problem and that they would get back with a collection date - i am still waiting. I have tried contacting them on several occasions but they never both returning my call. We would have given them 3 part loads totalling nearly £1000. I would not reccommend them
